Not really sure. This is the first I have heard anything like this. Might be because it was never compiled for IntelMacs. There is a Max object implementation that can be found here:

It has fewer parameters to control, but it has the same algorithm under the hood. Would that meet your needs?

Any insight on why this crashes Max5 instantly when loading in the vst~ object?
